Medical School Research Fund — Power of One
In 1995, in commemoration of its 50th anniversary, the Medical School alumnae established the Medical School Research Fund. Its purpose was to fund Ewha’s Medical School’s research project requests. In an effort to promote and revive it, the Medical School alumnae, in 2005, invented the catch phrase: Power of One.

To support the fund, please make the check payable to the International Foundation for Ewha Womans University and write “Medical School Research Fund - Power of One” on the memo line.

1995 년, 미주의 의과대학 동창생들은 의과대학 50주년을 기념하여 재단에 의학연구기금을 설립하였다. 지난 2005년부터 한 사람, 한 사람의 참여로 큰 변화를 가져올 수 있다는 의미에서 <한 사람의 힘> 이라는 기치를 걸고 의대 동창생들은 다시금 모금을 활성화하고 있다. 기금을 보내려면 International Foundation for Ewha W. Univ. 앞으로 수표를 끊고, 메모란에는 Medical School Research Fund - Power of One 이라는 기금명, 기부자의 한글 이름과 졸업년도를 적는다.

Choon-Hi Choi Kahng Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in August 2008 in memory of Mrs. Choon-Hi Kahng by Reverend Raymond Kahng and their children: Ms. Helen Kahng Jeffe, Mrs. Grace Kahng Awh, Ms. Eva Kahng, Mr. David Kahng, and Mrs. Mary Kahng Riew, this scholarship is to assist students in the College of Pharmacy in need of financial assistance. Originally classified as a Temporarily Restricted Fund, once the fund reaches $10,000, the principal and interest will be reclassified as a Permanently Restricted Fund until the goal amount of $100,000 is reached.

Myung Sook You Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in November 2008 by Board Member Mrs. Myung Sook You Kim in Toronto, Canada. As of now, this Temporarily Restricted Fund is serves as a general scholarship. However, the purpose and conditions of this scholarship will be specified by Mrs. Kim at a later date.

Drs. Moonja Chung & Chanjong Park Medical Fund
With an original gift of $20,000, Dr. Moonja Chung Park and Dr. Chanjong Park established the Drs. Moonja Chung Park & Chanjong Park Medical Fund in May 2009. This Permanently Restricted Fund serves to assist self-supporting medical students of Ewha University, and Medical doctors that are Ewha graduates in good standing, demonstrating special potential for professional leadership in medical service or research.

International Foundation for Ewha Scholarship (FY2009)
This past year has been a difficult one for everyone, including the Foundation. Due to the losses sustained in the stock markets nearly everywhere, the Board decided at the November 2008 board meeting to freeze all individual scholarship endowments. Instead, the Board voted to disburse $50,000 from the Reserve Fund and $50,000 from the Mark Gaston Scholarship Fund, in order to award 40 scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each for a total of $100,000. In addition, the Foundation’s Board pledged to repay the Reserve Fund.

지난 일년은 전 세계적으로 힘든 한 해였다. 국제재단에게도 쉽지 않은 한 해였다. 세계 시장의 한치 앞을 내다보기 어려웠던 지난 2008년 11월, 재단 이사회에서는 각 개별 장학기금의 지급을 미래를 위해 유보하기로 하였다. 대신, 재단의 이사진이 만일의 경우를 위하여 모아놓은 예비기금에서 $50,000 과 마크 개스톤 이사의 자발적인 기금 출연으로 $50,000, 도합 $100,000의 기금을 <국제재단 장학금> 이라는 일반적인 명칭 아래 이화대학에 지급하기로 결정하였다. 그 결과 각 $2,500 의 장학금이 총 40명에게 지급되었다.
