Heung Sook Kim M.D. Scholarship Fund
Dr. Heung Sook Kim (Medford, NJ), a 1970 Medical School alumna, is a faithful Christian who has great interest in medical mission works. Her words were, “Ewha, community of God’s love, has grown and matured under God’s love and grace. Wishing for Ewha to follow and glorify the Christ, I would like to establish a scholarship fund.” The Fund was established with an original gift of $10,000 as a temporary restricted fund to help the needy medical students who have interest in medical mission works.

Keun Hee Park Lim Scholarship Fund
Dr. Keun Hee Park Lim (Gahanna, Ohio), also a 1970 Medical School alumna, received a scholarship when studying at Ewha in 1966. She says, “I also received scholarship while I was attending medical school. I have not thanked enough.” She wants to show gratitude for the gift she had received and wishes to repay by establishing a scholarship fund for needy students. She established the Fund with an original gift of $10,000 as a temporary restricted fund to provide scholarships for needy medical students in college of medicine.

Sharon Zimmerman Rader Scholarship Fund
Ewha International Summer College, the 1st international summer program in Korea, is a cultural and academic program for students with both genders from diverse global institutions. There have been two scholarship funds supporting the summer school: There is Gloria Hahn Scholarship, established in 1989, that has provided scholarship periodically for over 10 Korean American students. And there is Constance Y. Pak Scholarship Fund, established in 2005, to support international students. In 2010, another scholarship was established to help more students wanting to study at Ewha.
The Board established a scholarship fund with the undesignated income from the 40th anniversary dinner, which took place on April 15, 2010, to promote Ewha’s internationalism. To honor the love and dedication of the president Bishop Sharon Z. Rader for Ewha, the Board decided to name it Sharon Zimmerman Rader Scholarship Fund. When the goal amount of $100,000 is reached, the fund’s interest will be utilized to provide scholarships for non-Korean American/Canadian students to study at Ewha’s summer program. Within a year, the fund has reached almost half of the goal amount. |
